Starting today, the UK is enforcing new rules that will transform how you advertise foods high in fat, salt, and sugar (HFSS). Voluntary compliance began back in October 2025, but now it’s mandatory, so it’s time to act!

What’s Changing?
-No Paid HFSS Ads Online
-This includes search, social media, influencer campaigns, and video ads.
-TV & On-Demand Restrictions
-HFSS ads can only run after the watershed.

Why It Matters for Advertisers
If your campaigns feature HFSS products, you’ll need to rethink your strategy. Media owners will not allow these ads to go live unless they meet the new rules. For TV, that means pushing HFSS ads after 9 pm if you want them to air.
